WHITE Milano, from September 22nd to 25th, is present in the Tortona Fashion District with its renowned content show dedicated to prêt-à-porter. Among the numerous novelties, in line with the DNA of the event that rewards talent, research, and sustainability, there is an interesting collaboration with Scale7, the first fashion and design business incubator founded by the Qatar Development Bank (QDB) in partnership with M7. Promising entrepreneurs and innovative startups aspiring to become the next big brands in Qatar come together under Scale7 in a hub that supports and develops their businesses in the fashion, design, and sustainability sectors.
In line with this mission, Scale7 participates in WHITE Milano with the presence of 10 brands. Participating in a well-established and respected international event like WHITE promotes valuable cultural and commercial exchanges with Italy and the international audience that attends it. The dedicated location for this collaboration is the Lounge at Via Tortona, 27. There, the designers will showcase their SS24 collections covering various merchandise categories, from ready-to-wear clothing to modest fashion such as abayas and caftans, as well as footwear, bags, and accessories.
Harlienz, the first Qatar-based brand to participate in New York Fashion Week, is an instantly recognizable brand that combines style with contemporary femininity. Feminine and powerful is also Dana Riad, catering to an urban warrior woman dressed in bold outfits with Swarovski details. Irreplaceable creates luxurious and avant-garde streetwear clothing that transcends both the female and male wardrobes.
The love for sustainability, linen, and natural materials has driven the brand LIN to reinterpret traditional clothing with a new clean, and modern design. Meanwhile, Drizzle focuses on creating timeless, elegant, and minimal pieces wearable by women of all ages and different cultures. Marpholio is a ready-to-wear brand founded by Maryam Alboainain in response to the growing demand for elegant and contemporary clothing and outerwear. It has earned a well-deserved reputation for unique designs, attention to detail, and the use of precious materials. Maryam Al Darwish brings a new-age style to fashion, known for garments made from high-quality natural fabrics and ensuring that every single thread is used without waste.
Among the accessories, Fursan speaks of luxury with a local accent, producing leather goods and lifestyle accessories. Founder Ibrahim Al-Haidos is committed to showcasing the untold and culturally rich stories of Qatar through his luxury design. Hissa Haddad offers luxury footwear of Italian production designed by the eponymous designer, with a particular focus on design and comfort. Finally, JWAHR expresses Middle Eastern art through fashion– in the form of hand-carved wooden clutches – pieces of art that can be worn instead of hung on walls and easels.
